Megan Merchant is the Rehearsal Director for LDP. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park with a degree in Dance. Megan has a background in various dance styles including: ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and modern. She has performed in various venues around the city such as the Kennedy Center Concert Hall, Millennium Stage, Verizon Center, and the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center. For three years, Megan was a member of the Washington Wizards Dance Team serving as team captain. As a Wizard Dancer she has performed for the President, celebrities, and local city officials. In addition to her duties as the LDP Rehearsal Director, Megan works full time as the Education Program Coordinator at Washington Performing Arts Society, providing the DC Metropolitan community with arts education programs for all ages.
