is a DC-based performing artist. She has a foundation in the R.A.D. technique of ballet and obtained her B.A. in Dance from the University of Maryland, College Park, where modern dance (Laban Movement Analysis) was emphasized. She has taught
movement and (including fitness-based) classes in the DC and New Jersey metropolitan areas. In 2010 and 2011, Jessica participated in and performed with the Urban Bush Women’s Summer Leadership Institute in New Orleans, where she further
cultivated her experience of using the arts to further social justice. Most recently, she performed with Lesole’s Dance Project’s collaboration with Nick Cave for the first-annual Kennedy Center’s Look Both Ways Public Arts Festival.
She also is a vocalist who has performed at various locations including Twins Jazz and the Blues Alley.
